Well hello there…

Hello to everyone, and welcome to 2015.
I hope you all had a very happy Christmas and an even better new year.

For myself, it was busy but I enjoyed the festivities, and I must say I even managed not to get drunk at our new years eve party, which has got to be a first.

Over the last couple of months or so, I have been hard at work bringing the site upto speed with updates.
Over the Christmas period I had taken most “side” parts to the site offline. The blog being one, but also Chuckles n Such.
Having noticed a number of duplicated images, I shut the site down, removed all the images and have begun the time-consuming process of checking for duplicate images as well as preparing all the new images.
The site should hopefully be up and running again soon.

As for my personal health update, over the xmas season I had unfortunately managed to get the dreaded “lurg”.
A sickness bug is currently working its way around and sadly, it has affected my eldest child Caitlin and my youngest Jack and it would seem it was my turn shortly after. I felt so ill, headaches, hot and cold shivers, painful sinuses and bodily aches adding up to quite a miserable time.
Still, I’m on the mend and my only problem is now, is trying to stay awake!
I’m not sure if it’s the medication I’m on or just that the “staying at home” is becoming so tedious and “samey” it’s sending me into an endless spiral of tiredness.

Anyway, as I say I hope you all had a good Christmas time and I hope 2015 will bring you all you deserve and want.

All the best…

~ Roy

Exciting perhaps…

Over the last couple of months a lot has changed.
Through my own choice, I am now a stay at home dad having quit work to support my wife. As my wife is her fathers full time carer, its made it an extra strain, and so with that followed my resignation.
Sad to leave, but family come first.
Of course this also means I will be attempting to update my sites quicker and more often, although, my luck in this area has been a little less than “nothing”.
However, we shall see over the coming months…

I’m still here…

Yes, I am actually here…
Over the past couple of months or so I have been battling with depression again and so much so that I am now on anti-depressants.

first post of 2013

what can I say? with everything going off in my life nothing had been updated!

I’m fed up of just not being able to get things done, and it seems I just constantly post things saying just that.
As always, work, family, stress, tiredness and totally random events are stopping me from doing the work I want to do.

The main site is progressing but not at the pace I would like, and at the time of writing, it is still in maintainence mode.
I’ve pushed back the relaunch date twice now and wondering if it will ever be back online at all.

Hopefully I will be able to make some headway over the next couple of days as I have some annual leave booked in, plus if this snow continues, I may not be able to get to work…

We shall see…

It’s all gooood!

‘Steady’ is the pace for the website now. New ideas and additions are ceasing for the moment. I’ve got lots of ‘current’ projects to keep me busy for a while on the site not to mention the sorting of disks to achieve that goal.

I’m very pleased overall with the speed the site has progressed and developed.
I must also mention and give a big thanks to ALL the visitors and more so to those who became members. One in particular has even become part of the ‘staff’ as a full time tester.

As most people have asked this, I am also in the process of writing a history about the whole ideas and motivations about the projects I’ve been involved in, regards Destiny Creations, RBCSoftware and RBCJ Hub. I have covered this several times over the years, usually via emails in reply to people’s questions, but never really covered in-depth about the entire concept, hopes and aspirations I wished to convey.
Here’s my chance as it were.

Other news this time round is a personal congratulations to Shelley and Ryan on the birth of their beautiful baby boy Leo, who was born 8lbs 4oz at 2:09pm on the 28th of August 2012. All the best to your tribe from ours xxx

Update

I’m currently developing a “portal” to all things related to what I do or enjoy.
I’m using a totally new and very much alien CMS (Content Management System), so I’m still learning at the moment and getting a grip with all the new features and functions.

I’ve already added some sections like ‘image of the day’ and ‘quizzes’ but there’s more to come.
Eventually, a downloads section will be there with all my legacy software which I’ve wrote over the years.
I really do have some big plans which I really do hope, takes off.
Thanks for visiting as usual and thanks for your support.

Playstation Network woes…

So, FINALLY, Sony admit they were hacked, and although there has been much speculation of what has actually happened, they now say that user details including User name, address, credit card details etc, in fact everything you entered for the PSN could potentially have been stolen.

The BBC reports that there has been a mixed responses from PSN Users stating that Sony have been keeping people in the dark about this, especially for so long no, then other saying they have.
My rant on it is simply “Whatever!”

I can’t be arsed with this, as I have a lot on my plate at the moment and despite I started the post with the PSN issue, I’m really not that interested.

New Tunes available!

Theres a couple of new tunes/mixes available over at RBCSoftware Music Centre (here). Namely a 30 minute Gabber mix and a 1hr of cheesy Dance music (Mainly Basshunter).
These were done some time ago, whilst I was testing some new DJ software, this is the result. Not great mixes by a long chalk, but put on there for, if nothing else, for nostalgia.

Just to clarify too, the Dance mix was mainly Basshunter, as Caitlin my daughter is a massive fan and loves to jump and dance around to his choons. Bless her.

Recently I have received alot of email regards to all my software projects and requests for software. I can honestly say I have had no time to concentrate on any software projects over the last couple of months as previous posts suggests. 2011 is my defining year, and the time when I plan to really push my software projects.
As a result, and as a few of you have already noticed, the download central is currently down.
I think the main problem is, I thought it would be easy to maintain all aspects of RBCSoftware, and clearly it isnt!
So from January 2011, I will be discipling myself and creating a “Rota” system to better manage my time and RBCSoftware.

As always, thank you to all the regular readers, contributers & listeners that boost my motivation to keep RBCSoftware alive.

Ooops

I’ve just been flicking through my art work part of the site and notice some of the quality of the images are poor. The reason behind this, when I scanned them, being idle as I am, I didn’t take the paper out of the plastic sleeves they were in. Hence the pictures do look grainy.

I will over the next couple of weeks be updating these images and more than likely be adding a few more.

Sorry, its totally unprofessional I know.

Updates

Hi guys,
Just a post to say, as you may or may not have noticed, download central along with other parts of the site are closed.
This is the case and will be so until further notice.
I’m currently planning major overhaul of each and every part of RBCSoftware, both on and offline.
Over the coming weeks the galleries and photo albums will be gradually updated alongside download central.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. The blog will be open as usual, but may have some short outages due to essential maintenance work.
Thanks for your continued support.
